Saturday, October 9th, 2010

If you enjoyed reading HEAVEN FALLS, you might also enjoy BRIGHT FACE OF DANGER – available now for your Kindle or other e-reader.

AVAILABLE NOW!

One man wants to love her.

One man wants to silence her.

How long can she hide the shattering secret that puts her life in danger?

In the peaceful New England countryside, a shot rings out… and a pretty farm girl disappears with a scandalous secret that could destroy a political empire. A year later, she resurfaces as Lark Chandler, with a stunning new face and a glamorous identity. With one goal in mind – revenge – she moves from the decadent playgrounds of the European jet set to the thrilling, high-pressure world of Hollywood, where she dazzles the film industry and ignites the passions of handsome movie executive Dom Whitfield.

But as Dom romances Lark, the talented beauty who seems to have come out of nowhere, he is tormented by the feeling that he’s known her from before. Her careful reserve about her past haunts him. He will do anything for her – but what he does not know about his exciting new love is that she’s running away from one fateful night – and that someone is watching her … desperate enough to strike her dead.

“Don’t start this one late at night or you won’t get any sleep. Deftly plotted and highly recommended.” – Rendezvous

Kindle Edition is on Fire

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

The Kindle edition of Heaven Falls is flying off the shelves this month! We’ve crossed the 400 mark. In June we sold 395 Kindle versions.

More good news: Heaven Falls is ranked #35 in Romantic Suspense books on Amazon, and #20 Romantic Suspense on Amazon Kindle! Overall, it’s ranked #1,472 in Amazon’s Kindle Store (out of over 620,000 books)!

Is it because of the terrific reader reviews? Word of mouth? Social media buzz? A cool book trailer? Or because it’s simply a great summer beach read? I’d love to know!

“Sleepless Nights with Heaven Falls” – new review

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

“Bravo to author Winslow Eliot for this sensual thriller! From an exclusive spa to exotic international locales, this novel swept me into a world of intrigue, romance and glamor. The book is also a primer to aromatherapy, as each chapter begins with a description of the origin, medicinal uses and aroma-therapeutic uses of a specific essential oil. As one continues to read each chapter it becomes apparent why each oil was selected as heroine Tess Duncan needs the nourishing and balancing capacities of the specified oil in order to get through the trials which unfold in the novel.

The pithy chapters engage the reader whetting ones appetite to continue. If you read it before bed I can guarantee sleepless nights as you don’t want to put it down. Although I never left my house, I felt the same rejuvenation of a massage as I read this book and lost myself in Heaven Falls. I can’t wait for Eliot to write her next book!”

Interview: Author-Poet-Mentor

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Excerpt of the Interview by Caroline Halliwell:

“I love to mentor, teach and coach writers,” Ms Eliot said. This is apparent when speaking with her and in reading her “WriteSpa-An Oasis for Writers” newsletter. She also teaches English at Great Barrington Waldorf High School in western Massachusetts. Writing and teaching are her two professional passions. “Teaching is about holding hands: I learn as much as I teach,” she said. She would like to devote more time to coaching and mentoring rising writers.  Aspiring writers need to connect on a human level, she maintains. “Love what you do and love others.”
